Located near the alpine town of Wanaka, this contemporary and comfortable b&b is named after the tree that adorns its sweeping front lawn.
Wanaka Springs Lodge
Wanaka Springs Lodge is a purpose built guesthouse of just eight rooms, where you will be well looked after by your hosts, Ann and Fraser. The building features native timbers and local schist stone, and the guest rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. There is an outdoor hot tub at the top of the garden, which is an ideal place to watch the sun go down. Guests can also enjoy the comfort of the private guest lounge with log fire, library and entertainment system, and your hosts will join you for pre-dinner drinks either here or on the deck where typical Kiwi foods are shared, accompanied by regional wines and beers.

All rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with direct access to a terrace or deck and onto the beautiful gardens. The King rooms feature either one king or a superking bed that can be split to make a twin room. Both the King and Queen rooms have lovely en suites with power showers and heated towel rails.
Wanaka Springs Lodge boasts fantastic views of the lake and mountains from the garden and is just a ten minute walk from the lakefront. It is ideally located for easy access to the town and its great restaurants, whilst maintaining a sense of peace and privacy, being tucked away in a quiet cul de sac.
Food and drink
A full breakfast is served each morning, with many options to choose from. There is a ‘honey wall’ in the kitchen so guests can sample a wide range of New Zealand honey with their breakfast. Guests can also enjoy a hosted pre-dinner drink with Ann and Fraser in the evenings. For lunch and dinner, Wanaka town is just a five minute walk away, and offers a variety of restaurants.
Facilities and activities
Guests can enjoy the comfort of the private guest lounge with log fire, library and entertainment system. Laundry facilities are available for a small donation to a local charity.
Wanake Springs Lodge is one of our favorite B&Bs in New Zealand, with a welcoming atmosphere and a convenient location. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains from the hot tub in the garden.
