Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Phnom Penh.

  • Arriving in Phnom Penh, your guide and driver will meet you, and you will spend the rest of the day at leisure to relax after your flight.

  • This morning, you have a half-day tour around some of the city's cultural sights, including the Royal Palace and National Museum. You can visit the harrowing Cheong Ek Killing Fields and S21 museum in the afternoon. Both are emotive and interesting places to visit and provide the opportunity to learn more about Cambodia's turbulent recent history.

  • A day at leisure in Phnom Penh to explore some of the city's markets or relax at your hotel.

  • You have a private transfer from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap by road. Ask your driver and guide to stop when you want to make the most of photo opportunities on the way. You will also stop to visit Sambor Prei Kuk, home to some of the oldest temples in Cambodia which pre-date Angkor.

  • Rise early this morning and travel to the magical temple of Ta Prohm in time for sunrise. See the early morning light filter through the stones of the temple and through the majestic tree roots now part of the temple's foundations. You then continue to Angkor Wat. Explore this incredible site in the early morning light; it is a truly memorable experience. The rest of the day is free to relax.

  • This morning, visit the beautiful pink sandstone temple of Banteay Srei, which is famous for its intricate and delicate carvings. Then continue to Banteay Samre, another Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu. After a rest, you will return to the site later in the day to explore Angkor Thom with the enigmatic Bayon temple, the Terrace of Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King.

  • Today you will explore Beng Mealea, a mighty and mysterious temple complex east of Siem Reap lost to the jungle for centuries. In the afternoon travel out to the floating village of Kompong Khleang, a fascinating trip which offers a chance to see life unfold on the great Tonle Sap Lake.

  • This morning visit the atmospheric River of a Thousand Lingas at Kbal Spean, located in the jungle. The afternoon is left at leisure.

  • You will have the day to relax or explore any final temples. In the afternoon your driver and guide will ensure you arrive at Siem Reap Airport ahead of your flight home.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
