This tranquil bed and breakfast dates back to 1867 and has been passed down five generations of the same family since the 1930s. The current owners, Cathy and Colin Fowler, have lovingly refurbished their home while decorating the interior with antiques and family heirlooms that hark back to the building’s long and interesting history.
Set in a leafy garden, the property has a wooden clapboard exterior painted in a neutral tone, with a small set of steps leading up to the front door. Inside are just three spacious guest rooms, as well as a welcoming dining room and lounge area with laminated wooden floors and sofas set beside a fireplace. Sash windows let in plenty of natural light, and there's a furnished outdoor deck dotted with potted plants where you can sit with a drink after exploring the area.
Colin and Cathy truly put their hearts into this property, and we love the history and sentimentality behind the house, which has been in Colin's family for generations. We particularly like that the Fowlers have their own garden in town, where they grow flowers to decorate the property's interiors.
