Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Québec City. On arrival in Québec, you'll be met at the airport by a private driver who will take you into the city to your hotel. Once you've settled in, you have time to venture out into the cobblestone streets, admiring the European-style architecture and views of the snow-covered St. Lawrence River. You might like to take a guided tour of the Fairmont Château Frontenac, where you're staying, to learn more about its history as an icon of the city.

  • You have most of the day at leisure in Québec City to explore. We recommend a visit to the oft-photographed Petit-Champlain for a spot of shopping in the boutiques housed in colourful, traditional buildings. The Fairmont also has an activity schedule, which we suggest exploring. This afternoon, you have a guided five-course fine food walking tour accompanied by a local guide to indulge in some of the city’s best gastronomy while learning more about the city’s history and culture.

  • After a leisurely morning and a final breakfast in Québec City, you'll be collected from your hotel by a private driver and taken into Québec's Mauricie Region. The two-hour journey begins by following the St. Lawrence River, before turning inland into the snow-covered forests. Your stay here includes all meals, and there’s a range of activities on offer. This afternoon, you might like to relax in the Nordic spa or experience one of the treatments on offer.

  • You have a full day at leisure at the resort. You can try dog sledding with the hotel's very own huskies, ride horses through the snow, and explore on electric fat-tired bicycles. You can also make the most of the 40 km (25 miles) of hiking, snowshoeing, skating, and cross-country skiing trails on the property. For something more relaxing, you can sit back in a traditional horse-pulled carriage to see the surrounding winter wonderland, or visit the France and André Dion Trail, a museum dedicated to the journey of two passionate ornithologists.

  • After a final breakfast at the resort, you'll be collected by a private driver for your journey to Montréal. The journey will take about two hours, depending on traffic. On arrival at your hotel, you have time to settle in. You're staying in the heart of downtown right by the Notre-Dame Basilica, and a short walk through snowy streets to the old port area, where we recommend getting dinner.

  • You have much of the day at leisure to explore the city. In winter, there's a vibrant atmosphere thanks to the plentiful festivals and entertainment. There are several places to try your hand at ice skating, including Mont Royal Park, with views over the city. When you're ready to unwind, you can make your way to L'Île des Sœurs (Nun's Island), where we've included admission to the thermal experience at a Nordic Spa overlooking the river. Your time at the spa isn't limited, so you can choose to spend as long as you like here.

  • You'll be collected from your hotel today by a private driver to venture back out into the winter landscape, this time to the mountains of Mont-Tremblant. The journey will take about two hours. Mont-Tremblant is primarily known for its ski slopes in the winter, but there are plenty of other exciting activities available. You're staying on the edge of the frozen Lac Tremblant, a short walk to the ski lifts and the pedestrian area of the town.

  • Today you'll partake in a classic Canadian activity, dog sledding. You'll drive your team of huskies along wooded mountain trails, leading over a frozen lake with views of the mountains. Back at the kennel, you'll have time to pet the dogs and reward them for their hard work. The rest of the day is yours to explore the mountains. You can take a ride up the gondola, go tubing or ice skating, or, for thrill seekers, you could try fat biking, ice climbing, snowshoeing, or even snowmobiling.

  • You have a final morning at leisure in the mountain town to explore and breathe in the fresh mountain air. Your private driver will then take you from your hotel to Montréal for your onward journey. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
