Hotel El Relicario Del Carmen, Quito, Ecuador

Our rating: Medium

Hotel El Relicario del Carmen is located in the heart of Colonial Quito, just a block from the main square. Built in a historic house dating back to 1705 there are just 18 comfortable rooms which have been renovated to combine the character of the original detail together with modern day amenities. All the furniture is handmade by recognised Ecuadorian artisans and original paintings decorate public and private areas. All rooms come with en-suite bathroom facilities and a centralised air-conditioning facility. There is a small restaurant serving breakfast, afternoon tea and cakes and dinner can be served with a couple of hours notice.
