Italy beyond the summer

Low season means thinner crowds in some of Italy's most famous and significant museums. This morning you'll have a guided tour of the Uffizi Gallery, seeing masterpieces such as Botticelli's 'Birth of Venus' and da Vinci's 'The Annunciation'. In the afternoon you'll have skip-the-line tickets to the Accademia Gallery to see Michelangelo's 'David'.

This afternoon is unguided, providing a good time to travel into the Trastevere district (very close to your hotel) where modern-day Romans enjoy an evening aperitivo.
