From the resort you take a 4x4 transfer to one of the most intriguing villages in the area. The road runs parallel with the Nam Phak River and the journey to the Ikho villages is incredibly scenic.
The Ikho tribe are one of the rarest tribes in the whole of Asia and tend to live in the most remote areas of the country — they originate from south China and Tibet.
Visiting two villages, you will learn more about their animist beliefs and the way that daily life revolves around a spirit world as well as more practical aspects of the village such as how dye from plants is used to make their unique costumes.
