Namibia is a predominantly dry country where deep orange sand dunes contrast with cobalt skies. The northern hemisphere summer is warm and sunny; albeit with cold nights, while during the winter Namibia is hot with the chance of spectacular thunderstorms. The peak travel season from July to October is very popular and needs planning well in advance.

The best time to visit Namibia is during September as it's warm and sunny with blue skies and not too cold at night. There are limited water sources so the game gathers around the waterholes, making for great game viewing.
