Copper Beech Wanaka
This boutique B&B, named after Copper Beech tree which is the main feature of the front garden, has just two rooms. Your hosts Yvette and Ian previously ran a larger luxury lodge, so the service level is extremely high here. Both en suite rooms look out onto the front garden, have their own patio and seating area, and there's a shared hot tub for guest use. Ian and Yvette love to get to know their guests over a complimentary glass of wine and nibbles in the evening, while mornings begin with a delicious homemade breakfast, accompanied by Ian’s freshly baked bread. Bistro Gentil is a short walk away for dinner, or you can arrange for Ian or Yvette to drop you off in town for the evening.
With only two rooms, Copper Beech has an exclusive feel. Each room is appointed with king sized or twin beds, complimentary Wi-Fi, local toiletries and a modern tiled bathroom. Both rooms face the front garden, which is easily accessible via the patio doors, where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine.
Their property sits just a 20-minute walk from Wanaka lakefront, where you'll find a huge array of cafés, bars and restaurants to choose from, although the delicious Bistro Gentil restaurant is just next door. Being set back in a residential area means that the property is nice and quiet.
Food and Drink
Each morning there is a continental breakfast with homemade croissants, fruit and cereals. Additionally, you can order hot food from their menu, which varies every day. In the evening, the hosts invite their guests to join them for a glass of local wine and homemade canapés, which is a great way to get to know the other guests at the property. Complimentary tea, coffee and home baking is available in the living room throughout the day.
Facilities and Activities
The property has a hot tub on the front lawn that guests can use to relax. The hosts offer complimentary transfers into Wanaka for dining (taxi on return).
With high service levels, this B&B provides a peaceful and comfortable base in Wanaka.
