Hermitage Motel Aoraki Mount Cook, Mount Cook National Park, New Zealand

The Hermitage Hotel was originally opened to adventurous travellers in 1884. It has since been rebuilt, modernised and renovated to offer a huge amount of room space to suit every budget. The motel units of The Hermitage are situated approximately 800 metres from the hotel and provide a good level of comfort with full kitchen and bathroom facilities (shower only). The motel units have a queen bed and sofa bed and are ideal for up to two adults and two children if they will share the double sofa bed.

The Family Units have a main bedroom with a queen or twin beds and a queen bed off the lounge with a sofa bed making them suitable for two adults and three children or four adults. Continental breakfast is served in the main hotel's coffee shop and meal vouchers can be used in the fine dining restaurants in the main hotel. Although the motel units themselves do not have views from the rooms the gardens in which they sit have panoramic vistas of Mount Cook and the Alpine ranges.
