Set on five acres of land, right next to Lake Te Anau is High Leys Lodge, a three-room lodge that demonstrates the peaceful side of the Fiordland National Park. Each room is equipped free Wi-Fi, a queen size bed or larger, an outdoor patio, and views of the gardens or the lake. You can also enjoy the large common room that has a gas fire place and a relaxing sitting area. The accommodation is a short drive to the town of Te Anau, and the main highlights of the surrounding area.
Here you'll find three large guest rooms, two with sliding patio doors, views onto the Te Anau Lake, and king beds. The third room has views overlooking the house gardens and has a queen-sized bed. All rooms have spacious en suite bathrooms and complimentary Wi-Fi, flat screen televisions with Netflix and a large selection of books in the shared living area.
High Leys is situated just a 10-minute drive from Te Anau, 30 minutes from Manapouri and a two-hour drive down to Milford Sound. The setting of the property allows you to escape the bustle of Te Anau and relax in the comfort of this serene setting, enjoying sweeping views over the nearby lake and mountains.
Each morning there's a continental breakfast with homemade croissants, fruit and cereals. There's also hot food to order from their menu, which varies every day. In the evening, your hosts invite their guests to join them for a glass of local wine and cheese board, which is a great way to get to know your hosts and the other guests at the property. Complimentary tea, coffee and home baking is available in the living room throughout the day.
Nearby, you can hike the Routeburn and Kepler tracks and take overnight cruises to Milford and Doubtful Sound. The Te Anau glowworm caves and the Fiordland cinema are also within easy reach.

Doubtful Sound Overnight Cruise
Once on board the Fiordland Navigator you will cruise through hidden waterways where bottlenose dolphins are frequently seen playing and riding the waves under the bows, fur seals bask on outcrops around the fiord, and at times the rarest penguins in the world can be observed.
Milford Sound Nature Cruise
Once in Milford you will board the Milford Mariner for a nature cruise of two and a half hours which leads you the full length of the sound and into the Tasman Sea.
Te Anau Glow Worm Caves
Travel by small boat and walkways in small groups through cathedral-like caves with waterfalls, whirlpools and beautiful rock formations before drifting through the 'glow worm grotto': an unforgettable experience.
