The Boatshed, Waiheke Island, New Zealand

The Boatshed on beautiful Waiheke Island is just 35 minutes by ferry from Auckland, and offers luxury accommodation and great food in a relaxed island setting. Inspired by the early 1900 boatsheds that scatter the shores up and down New Zealand, the property's interior stylishly reflects a nautical theme and affords panoramic ocean views from every guest suite. The rooms themselves are bright and sunny, with an intimate attention to detail and well-chosen art work, creating a delightfully unpretentious setting.

The three Boat Sheds open out through louvred shutters into the private garden, looking out to the ocean beyond. The Bridge Suite is tucked away on the opposite side of the property, ensuring complete privacy, and the impressive three-storey Lighthouse is a unique hideaway, perched at the top of the building and affording an impressive panorama. All guests are provided with full beach gear, or if the weather is inclement can curl up in front of their fire or enjoy music, DVDs or a good book from the library.

The Boatshed is located just five minutes from the ferry terminal, a few minutes from the beach and a gentle stroll away from the island village. For those wishing to explore further afield, the property has its own fleet of Mini Moke 'TOGS', which are a great and fun way of zipping around some of the island's scenic roads.
