Itinerary idea in detail

With international flights from a choice of airports including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Auckland.

  • On-board your international outbound flight to Auckland.

  • Today you will arrive into Auckland. After passing through airport formalities, please make your own way to the Auckland domestic airport (a short walk from the international terminal) and catch your flight to Nelson. Upon arrival in Nelson, please collect your vehicle and make your way to the Stonefly Lodge, near the Abel Tasman National Park, where you will stay for the next three nights.

  • Today spend the day fishing in one of the best spots in New Zealand. Your guide will provide all the necessary gear, and you will head out to a local river to spend the day taking in the quiet surroundings and catching a variety of trout.

  • Spend the day at leisure, either relaxing at your accommodation or exploring the Kahurangi National Park.

  • This morning, make your way to the Nelson airport and drop your vehicle at the depot, before your flight to Christchurch. Upon arrival into Christchurch, please collect your vehicle and make your way toward Aoraki Mount Cook National Park. Spend two nights along the shores of Lake Pukaki, exploring the Mackenzie Basin.

  • This morning make your way to the Mount Cook Village for your full day kayaking and a hiking tour. You will hike into the Southern Alps, toward the Mueller Glacier, where you will spend the next few hours kayaking on a quiet glacial lake.

  • At your leisure drive to the Lindis Lodge. The rest of the day is at leisure exploring the Ahuriri Valley.

  • Head out for a half day fishing tour on the Ahuriri River, which sits right in front of the accommodation. Your guide will provide all necessary gear and fishing advice for your fishing adventure.

  • Spend the day at leisure exploring the Ahuriri Valley. We recommend hiring the lodge's e-bikes and adventuring to the Ben Avon station.

  • At your leisure drive from the Lindis to Glenorchy. Along the drive you will go over the Lindis Pass and see the stunning Lake Wakatipu and Remarkable Mountains. Spend three nights at the Blanket Bay Lodge near Glenorchy.

  • Enjoy your last day of guided fishing at Blanket Bay Lodge. You will be provided with all the necessary gear and your guide will take you to one of the many rivers or lakes for you to enjoy the day catching a variety of trout.

  • Today explore the UNESCO Heritage site of Milford Sound. This morning you will be collected from your accommodation and then fly on a light aircraft from Glenorchy to Milford Sound. Spend the next hour and a half cruising along the fiord seeing the cascading waterfalls and spotting wildlife before flying back to Glenorchy. The rest of the day is open for you to explore the Glenorchy region.

  • Please make your own way to the Queenstown airport in time for your onward flight.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
