The stylish rooms are designed by award winning architect Bill Bensley. Each is extremely spacious and comfortable with high ceilings, wooden floors, crisp linen and a host of amenities to ensure a comfortably luxurious stay.
Each room has a wraparound veranda with pool, and an outdoor bathroom featuring rainfall showers and claw-footed bath tubs. Inside, rooms convert into a private cinema, with a giant pull down screen in front of the bed and a wide range of films to choose from.
Surrounded by 400 acres of rainforest and organic farmland, Belle Mont Farm is perched high on Kittian Hill, enjoying amazing views of the ocean below and beyond to the island of St Eustatius. Set on the quieter northwest of the island, it’s surrounded by a few sprawling rural villages, with Mount Liamuiga looming behind.
The location is very secluded, with the hotel set down a very bumpy track about 10-15 minutes’ drive from the road. The capital of Saint Kitts, Basseterre, is a 40 minute drive away.
Food and drink is focused on fresh, local ingredients - 90% of the hotel’s produce grown on the hotel’s organic farm or from local farmers. Anything that can’t be produced onsite is ethically sourced.
The Kitchen is the hotel’s main restaurant serving an à la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu is a mix of local and international, determined by what produce is available fresh from the farm that day.
For a change of scenery, Arthur's is set at the water’s edge just 10 minutes’ drive by the hotel’s free shuttle and offers a fresh seafood menu for lunch. Set in a recreation of the old sugar mills, The Mill Bar offers a range of cocktails.
A real highlight is the farm dining. Set in the heart of the 400 acre farm among the fruit and vegetable beds is a table seating up to 26 guests. Multiple courses are brought out, fresh from the farm to the kitchen to the table, and passed from guest to guest. This sociable dining experience is very popular and needs booking in advance. We recommend dining early enough to catch sunset while you eat.
Please note that the farm dining is available 3-4 times a week depending on occupancy at the resort.
All ages are welcome, although due to the style of the rooms and lack of children’s facilities, Belle Monte Farm is more suited to older children who have an interest in nature and being active. Babysitting is available.
The hotel’s location makes it perfectly placed for rainforest hikes to Mount Liamuiga and the concierge team can also help with a variety of excursions from catamaran and snorkelling trips to visits to nearby Brimstone Hill Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Belle Mont Farm offers a unique mix of spacious, luxurious rooms, a beautiful hillside location and a fascinating farm setting. The views are fantastic and it’s perfectly placed for some beautiful sunsets.
As you drive up to the resort you will notice where work has started on a sister property but this is below where you will be staying and hidden from view of the resort.
