Stay at Grumeti River Camp, Serengeti National Park

AndBeyond have built some of the most beautiful lodges in Africa. Grumeti Camp is no exception. The colourful lounge overlooking the game by the hippo pool is a lovely spot for relaxing.

Grumeti River Camp, Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Grumeti River Camp has a fabulous situation above a hippo pool in the Serengeti's western corridor.

All the tents have views of the Grumeti River which is full to bursting with brilliant green Nile cabbage and small pods of hippos wallowing happily. Baboons and vervet monkeys play in the trees and it's not unusual to see elephant come to the pool or the nearby Grumeti River to drink.

The ten tents are superbly spacious and ingeniously designed with African wood carvings, king sized beds, rich fabrics and open air showers in the en suite bathrooms. There is a lovely pool, bar with deep sofas and outdoor boma where evening meals are enjoyed lit by hundreds of lanterns under the stars.
