-
On arrival in Manila you will check in at your hotel and then have a short tour of the Malate and Ermita districts of the city.
-
This morning you will be collected from your hotel for a full day tour of Manila including Intramuros and San Agustin Church. You will make a stop for lunch at a typical Filipino restaurant.
-
Today you will be picked up from your hotel after breakfast for a long journey by road up into the mountain provinces of Luzon. Inclusive of stops, this journey takes roughly eight to nine hours. The change in scenery is fantastic from suburban Manila, through plains of paddy fields and up into mountainous hills and river valleys. It gets chilly at night in the highlands, so please pack a fleece or jumper.
-
You will spend the day around the Banaue area marvelling at the rice pyramids that the town is famous for as well as heading further afield to a local village to actually wander among a valley of rice terraces.
-
Today you will leave the Banaue area and head to the relaxed, hillside town of Sagada where you will break for lunch. This journey has many good photo stops, and you will see not only rice terraces but also vegetable terraces planted in aesthetic geometric patterns. In Sagada there is the opportunity to see tribal coffins stacked in their hundreds in a local cave and also various coffins hanging to limestone rock faces. En route to Sagada you will stop off in the town of Bontoc and head to a small museum with an interesting collection of tribal artefacts and historical information. In the afternoon you will drive from Sagada to Mount Data where you will overnight. The scenery on this drive is stunning.
-
In the morning you will be driven back toward Baguio City. This drive gradually takes you from the rice and vegetable terraces in the mountains and back toward the plains.
-
Your journey today will take you back to Manila along a slightly different route to the one that was taken on your way north. This journey will take roughly six hours. Upon arrival in Manila, you will be taken to the airport for your flight to Cebu. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel.
