Originally built in 1893 by the England brothers, renowned architects of the period, the Orari is a fabulous heritage building. It has been restored and refurbished to offer comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation.

Located close to a number of attractions and within the cultural precinct of Christchurch, and with just ten stylish rooms (eight en suite and two with private bathrooms) you are ensured a relaxing stay.

Orari offers heritage bed and breakfast accommodation in what we find to be an excellent location, as you can park your car and walk to the main attractions of Christchurch.

Rooms

The Orari is small and intimate, with just ten queen bed rooms furnished in a classic style; eight of which feature an en suite bathroom, and two with a private bathroom directly opposite the room.

Location

The Orari Bed and Breakfast is located right in the heart of the cultural precinct of Christchurch; directly opposite the new art gallery and within easy walking distance of cafés, the Arts Centre, the botanic gardens, museum, Hagley Park and golf course. You could not ask for a better position.

Food and drink

The hosts at Orari provide a continental buffet for guests each morning, along with cooked-to-order free-range bacon and eggs to be enjoyed in the Orari's beautiful dining room. Guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine in the evening before heading out to Christchurch, which boasts a wide variety of high quality restaurants and bars within walking distance of the B&B.

Facilities and activities

Orari offers guests a relaxing private lounge and dining room, laundry facilities and a luggage elevator for transporting heavy bags upstairs. The staff will be happy to advise and assist in booking any local activities.
