-
After your morning safari and breakfast, you will be driven to your next lodge, where you will have time to relax before your first walking safari. The South Luangwa National Park is considered to be the birthplace of the walking safari and one of the finest safari destinations in Africa, where you can expect to see lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, elephants, hippos, hyenas and more.
-
With no fewer than seven oxbow lagoons within a short walk from Chamilandu, an abundance of wildlife and birdlife abounds, and with only three treehouse-style rooms, sightings are sure to be intimate.
-
Enjoy another full day of safari activities. If you wish to give your feet a rest in the afternoon, there are several hides strategically placed around the lagoons, which are the perfect place to while away an afternoon.
-
This morning, you will walk further south to Chindeni. Depending on what you see along the way, this journey will take a few hours. On arrival, you will be able to explore the area on foot further to see what game you can find.
-
This morning, you can continue to explore the national park on foot. Tonight, we recommend a nighttime drive where you can try your luck at spotting some of the area's nocturnal species, such as the elusive aardvark.
-
A second full day at Chindeni, enjoying safari activities based on the Luangwa River. During downtime, be sure to enjoy your private wooden deck, which offers views of the main watering hole.
-
This morning, your guide will take you further downriver to Bilimungwe for your final few nights on safari. Here, you can continue to enjoy wildlife drives and night drives, in addition to the renowned walking safaris.
-
Explore the more southern parts of the South Luangwa National Park in a vehicle or continue on foot. Make the most of your downtime by unwinding on your private wooden deck, where you can soak in breathtaking views of the watering hole. It's the perfect spot to relax and connect with nature.
