Situated just above the village of Purmamarca and with a picture postcard view onto the Hill of Seven Colours, the Manantial del Silencio is an unexpected oasis of comfort and tranquillity in the heart of the spectacular Humahuaca Gorge. The design, both inside and out, is colonial and elegant; with long stone corridors, archways, and a predominance of white giving the whole place a fresh feel.
The hotel has just 18 standard rooms, a suite and a separate two bedroom 'Boutique House' for family groups. All rooms have Wi-Fi access, a safe, hair dryer and private bathrooms, and the suite also includes a Jacuzzi. Guests can also enjoy a comfortable and welcoming lounge area, beautifully designed restaurant with panoramic picture windows, a wine cellar, and large gardens with an outdoor swimming pool. There is also a spa with a Jacuzzi offering panoramic views and a Scottish shower.

Experiences while staying here
The following activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences of the area where you're staying. We work with local guides, who use their knowledge and often a resident's eye to show you the main sights and more out-of-the-way attractions. Our specialists can also suggest outdoor pursuits and activities, such as cooking classes, that will introduce you to the traditions of the area's inhabitants.
Set off from Purmamarca, having first visited the village and enjoyed the Hill of Seven Colours from close quarters. You will pass through the oasis village of Maimara, with its onion and garlic fields and dramatic coloured mountain backdrop, known as the Artist's Palette because of the range of hues visible.
