Rooms

As you would expect from a hotel modelled on Melbourne’s vibrant laneways, the rooms at Ovolo are fun, colourful and quirky, with inspiring local artwork and materials to match. The studio room is a little on the small side, but fine as a crash pad for a night or two. We recommend upgrading to the one-bedroom suite for slightly longer stays, which is a lot more spacious and features a separate lounge and bedroom area, as well as a walk-in rain shower. For larger groups, upgrade to the penthouse suite which features two bedrooms, a large lounge area and even a private terrace with a Jacuzzi and views of the city.

Location

Melbourne’s hidden laneways are the heartbeat of the city, and as such, the Ovolo’s tucked away location is the perfect base from which to explore the city. Close to Chinatown, Parliament House, and a number of the city’s best parks, as well as the Yarra River and many attractions of the Southbank you will be perfectly located to explore the city on foot, or via the free tram network in the CBD.

Food and drink

There are no catering or restaurant facilities on-site, but why would you need that when staying in the heart of Australia’s foodie capital? Get out and experience some of the country’s best restaurants, tucked away in the hidden laneways and passages around the hotel.
