Little Good Harbour

Little Good Harbour

Located just north of Speightstown on the west coast of Barbados, the Little Good Harbour is a family-run, boutique hotel that’s based in the 17th-century Fort Rupert. Its 20 airy suites are scattered across a handful of whitewashed coral-stone cottages along the beach, the windows shaded with old-fashioned shutters. Inside, suites showcase classic Caribbean decor, with netting-hung beds, crisp white walls and linens, and dark wooden furniture, as well as kitchens.

Located on the water’s edge within the old fort, The Fish Pot restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is a quiet affair, but this is one of the most popular restaurants on the island and evenings get lively. You can dine on its open-air covered terrace, which gives uninterrupted views of the sparkling blue waters of the Caribbean. The menu offers modern takes on both local and international dishes, with a focus on fresh seafood.

The 20 suites, which come in a range from one to three bedrooms, are scattered around the grounds. Two suites are on the beach front, twelve are surrounded by the tropical gardens and freshwater pool, while a further six are situated higher up with separate pool and gardens. Each of the suites are decorated in traditional Caribbean style with dark oak woods complemented by light walls and fabrics and accentuated by pops of green and yellow.

All suites have a separate living room with French doors leading out onto a private balcony or terrace, air conditioning (in the bedroom only), fully equipped kitchen and modern amenities. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Groceries can be ordered prior to arrival and pre-stocked via the hotel’s reception.

Situated within a quaint little fishing community on the west coast of Barbados, Little Good Harbour is just a short drive from of the busier towns of Speightstown and Holetown where you’ll find an abundance of restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities. It’s also just under an hour drive to the international airport.
