Cruise Ships in Antarctica : Ocean Diamond

The Ocean Diamond had a former life as a luxury cruise ship before its conversion to an expedition vessel. You’ll see echoes of its past life in the amount of space on board, including the sun deck on the top of the ship.

A modern and stable super-yacht, the Ocean Diamond carries up to 189 passengers, less than its maximum capacity of 220, to ensure there’s enough space to go around on board. The vessel’s numerous adventure options enable you to make the most of your time, which you can combine with on-board recreation. Amenities include a massage and wellness programme, and a well-stocked Polar library. Staff on the Ocean Diamond work very hard to offer excellent service, and the guides and expedition team provide a varied and informative schedule. The on-board specialists hold briefing sessions in the auditorium, and the resident photographer will help you to capture the landscapes you’re witnessing.

Cabins

The well-appointed, neutrally decorated cabins retain some of the feel of a cruise ship, their white decor lending a bright, airy feel. Options include single, twin and double-bed cabins, all equipped with en suite bathrooms. As you’d imagine, the spaciousness and comfort levels increase as you go from entry-level cabins to the suites, the best of which have a personal balcony.
