On arrival into Glasgow collect your rental car and make your way to your centrally located hotel. This afternoon embark on an orientation tour of the city with your private guide before topping off the day with a tour of Auchentoshan Distillery.

Leave Glasgow and drive to the west coast today, where you board your ferry across to the island of Islay. En route to the coast, drive via Loch Fyne, known for its excellent salmon. The ferry will take you across to Islay, then drive to your waterside hotel. In the afternoon, visit Bruichladdich Distillery.

Today visit Bowmore Distillery for a shared tour and tasting. In the afternoon, drive to the south coast and visit Lagavulin Distillery for another shared tour and tasting, to compare the two distinctive Islay malts.

Take the ferry back to the mainland, then drive towards Oban, exploring the ancient stone circles of Kilmartin Glen en route. Continue toward Oban, visiting the ruins of two MacDougall strongholds. Dunollie Castle overlooks Oban Bay and the Heritage Scotland property, Dunstaffnage Castle, has a small museum.
