Conveniently located within walking distance of Hanoi's center and a short drive from the city's Old Quarter, this modern hotel enjoys panoramic views of the city, with some of the rooms and suites offering views of West Lake, Truc Bach Lake or the Red River through large frameless windows. Guests can stay in simple but elegantly furnished rooms offering 35 square meters of living space, each equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi access, air conditioning, a HDTV, a safe, minibar and stylish en suite bathroom. The suites are slightly more spacious at 40 square meters, boasting a separate living room.
There are two dining options on site: Ming Restaurant, which serves Chinese dim sum courses, and Brasserie Westlake, where guests can tuck in to an international buffet. A rooftop bar provides the perfect setting in which to relax with drinks whilst overlooking the city and taking in the sunset over West Lake, while the lobby bar provides live music in a sophisticated setting. For further relaxation, guests can arrange to have a massage or swim in the indoor heated pool, which is basked in plenty of natural light through its retractable roof. The hotel also features a well-equipped fitness center, including scheduled sessions of yoga, Pilates and aerobics.
OUR OPINION:
This hotel is a nice option for those looking to escape the busy Old Quarter and have plentiful facilities close to hand. The views of West Lake aren’t too bad either.

Rooms
The hotel has three different types of room. The Luxury rooms are the lowest category, but at 35 square meters are still extremely spacious and offer well-designed comfort, luxury bathroom amenities and city views. One step up are the Luxury Club rooms which give access to the hotel's exclusive club lounge. The highest category rooms are the Junior Suites which offer all the benefits of the Luxury Club rooms but house more space to relax.
Location
West Lake is one of Hanoi’s most affluent areas which is understanding due to the beautiful setting. The largest lake in Hanoi is circled by lush greenery contrasting with modern highrise and the occasional pagoda. The area is a lot more relaxed than the popular Old Quarter and not quite as quiet as the French district thus creating a good balance between action packed and relaxation. It offers a nice escape from the busy areas but is still close enough (only 10 minutes) from the main sites.
Food and drink
The hotel has two restaurants. The Brasserie is open all day and has a daily buffet and an à la carte menu consisting of Asian and international options. The weekend seafood buffet is always popular. The Ming restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner and specializes in Chinese cuisine including excellent dim sum. The Summit lounge bar located on the uppermost floor of the hotel has one of the most attractive lounges in Hanoi complete with panoramic views of the city.
Families
Babysitting services are available.
Facilities and activities
The fully equipped spa and fitness center has something for everyone and also offers scheduled sessions of yoga, Pilates and aerobics. The hotel also houses a business center, beauty salon, gift shop and currency exchange.
