The four rooms on this property are split into two different room types; you can choose from one queen bed (in the Sage Grouse and Willow Grouse rooms) or a king bed (in the Ruffled Grouse and Spruce Grouse rooms). All rooms have an en suite bathroom, an in-room telephone, tea and coffee, and feature rustic ranch-style décor. Wi-Fi is available in this property, although due to the inn's remote location, the connection is rather limited.
Due to its remote and secluded location inside this protected region, the Blue Grouse Country Inn is a 30-minute drive away from Clearwater, the small town which rests at the foot of Wells Gray Provincial Park. It's therefore only accessible by car along a gravel road, and we recommend renting a suitable vehicle throughout your stay in order to access the vast range of activities and experiences that the park has to offer.
Food and drink
A delicious Continental and hot breakfast buffet is available each morning, and the hosts will also provide packed lunches for activities and trips. The breakfast room is open all day for guests’ use and soft drinks are available here. There's no evening meal provided, however, so you may like to enjoy dinner in Clearwater.
Facilities and activities
Although there are no recreational facilities at the inn itself, its location in the park makes it an ideal base to enjoy all of the activities that Wells Gray Provincial Park has to offer, from rafting and horse riding, to hiking and light aircraft flights.
Regina is a great host and has a close relationship with many of the guides nearby. She will happily offer her suggestions and advice for you to really get the most out of your stay.
