Cycle into the forests and along the seawall of Stanley Park, admiring the views of Vancouver as you go.
Stanley Park is considered one of the most beautiful parks in the world, providing a green oasis surrounded by the water, and is larger than Central Park in New York. The park is home to kilometres of trails, beaches, cultural and historic landmarks, and views of the city, English Bay and Lions Gate Bridge. This three-hour, small group cycle tour includes a mixture of both trail riding and cruising on the seawall to discover its highlights.
You’ll meet your guide and the rest of your group at a downtown location to be fitted with a helmet and bike (with lock and basket). Your guide will give you a short introduction to the tour and the route you’ll be taking. You’ll then use the bike lanes to make the short journey to Canada Place. From here, you’ll pick up the city’s seawall, following it along the waterfront to the park.
The seawall is 31 km (19 miles) of paved waterfront greenway with surrounding views of the city and the North Shore. You’ll make stops on the way to take photos of the views, and to see the totem poles, and Vancouver’s version of the ‘Little Mermaid’ statue. Once at Stanley Park, with your guide you’ll weave down the forest trails that criss-cross the park, learning more about the nature, culture, and history of the park.
This is a fairly simple 9-12 km (5 mile) ride on dedicated bike trails and the tour is conducted at a relaxed pace to make the most of the sights. The tour finishes downtown at the bike shop where it begins.
