Kings Lodge is set in 12 acres of sal forest a short drive from the Tala entry gate into Bandhavgarh National Park. It comprises eight cottages and 10 stilt cottages each with modern en suite bathrooms. Each stilt unit has a wooden lofted balcony. All rooms are well appointed and decorated with tribal art, giving the lodge a jungle feel and it has been built to blend with the surrounding landscape using eco-sensitive policies. The property also has a library, swimming pool and watchtower.
Kings Lodge trains local villagers as naturalists and camp staff. Their vision is that the forest dwellers are the genuine protectors of wildlife if guided correctly which is supported by the whole team. The naturalists are very good here, with a wealth of knowledge and experience in tracking and wildlife conservation.
Where possible, we like to offer a range of accommodation for each stop of your trip, chosen by our specialists as some of their favourite places to stay. To help you make the right choice, we give each property a rating based on its facilities and service, but we also look for hotels with distinct character or a location that can’t be bettered.
