Villa Mathis, Seminyak, Indonesia

Surrounded by rice fields, approximately 10-15 minutes drive from the bustling centre of Seminyak and the beach, Villa Mathis is a stunning 22 room property located in the village of Umalas.

It is split over five different areas each with its own four or five bedroom villa, which can either be rented per room or in its entirety for larger groups. Traditional Balinese materials such as teak wood, alang-alang roofs, batik drapes and cushions sit perfectly alongside modern features to ensure a very comfortable stay. The traditional crafted furnishings, sourced from the many islands of the archipelago, are complemented by paintings by local artists adorning the walls. The rooms have been designed with privacy in mind, allowing you to enjoy a lovely view without being overlooked by the other rooms in the villa.

The lush tropical gardens are home to choice of swimming pools (one for each group of villas) and there is the option for fine dining at any location throughout the hotel or at the Nuits Baroques restaurant. The hotel offers excellent value spa treatments, starting at £20 for a one hour massage which is considerably cheaper than the going rate in Seminyak.

There is a free shuttle during the day (on request between 9am-6pm, one way only) to Seminyak for shopping, beaches and restaurants plus complimentary Wi-Fi, mountain bikes and afternoon tea.
