Day 1 Venice
International outbound flight , Venice
Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Venice. Upon arrival in Venice you will travel by private water taxi across the lagoon; enjoy wonderful views of this magical city as you head through the canals to your hotel in the heart of the city. After settling in, a private guide will walk you through the maze of smaller canals and alleyways on an evening food stroll around the city's traditional bacaros (wine bars), famous for their tasty appetizers known as cicchetti.
Day 2 Venice
Today you have a private half day tour of Murano and Burano Islands. Your private guide will meet you in the lobby of your hotel and escort you to your water taxi. Murano is famous for its glass production and Burano for its lace craft. In Murano you will have an opportunity to see a master glass blower work on one of his creations. Once in Burano you will be able to explore the charming, brightly painted streets and see women making lace by hand.
Day 3 Florence
This morning you will be transferred by private water taxi to Santa Lucia Station for your premium class train ride to Florence. The journey will take just over two hours. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your luxurious hotel in the heart of the city. In the afternoon, your private guide will take you on a tour of the Piazza del Duomo to see some of Florence's most iconic buildings and give you an orientation of the city.
Day 4 Florence
Heading out of the city today by private car you'll journey into the hills of Tuscany to learn about the art of truffle hunting. Truffles are one of the regions culinary delights and today you'll accompany a local expert and his truffle dog through the woods as they search for these hidden treasures. Afterwards, you'll be treated to a wonderful truffle tasting lunch where you will be able to sample these delicacies in a huge variety of forms.
Day 5 Florence
Today you'll gain insight into the local artisanal traditions of Florence on a walking tour of the city. You'll visit a number of artisan workshops which may include chocolate makers, wine producers, tile mosaic craftsmen, leather workers, or cantucci bakers. Each artisans upholds the historic traditions of local Florentine production.
Day 6 Gaiole in Chianti

Leaving Florence this morning, your private driver will transfer you into the heart of Tuscany. Your hotel, Badia a Coltibuono, is a former monastery that dates back to the 11th century. The hotel's historic wine cellars are a particular highlight along with the beautiful kitchen gardens.

Today you'll experience traditional Italian cooking with a cooking class at Il Falconiere. Departing with your private driver, you'll travel south through the countryside to just outside the hill town of Cortona. Together with a Tuscan chef, you'll prepare delicious local cuisine in a hands-on setting. At the end of the class, you'll sit down to enjoy your meal paired with wines produced in Il Falconiere's own vineyards.
Day 8 Gaiole in Chianti

Enjoy a wine tasting tour of Tuscany today. Departing with your private driver, the first stop is Felsina Winery where you'll embark on a jeep tour around the vineyards before tasting a selection of their award winning wines. From here you'll head to the beautiful Villa Vignamaggio where you'll enjoy a tour of the stunning gardens and historic cellars before indulging in a lazy lunch paired with wines from the estate.
Day 9 Rome
Today you'll head back to the Florence train station for an hour and a half journey in premium class to Rome. Upon arrival will be transferred to your hotel. Relax and settle into your hotel before embarking on a private walking tour of the city's central highlights, including the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain.
Day 10 Rome
Today you'll have a walking tour of the Campo de Fiori and the Jewish district of the city with your guide focusing on the food culture of Rome including pizza, Roman artichokes, and of course, coffee. In the afternoon, explore the secrets of Ancient Rome on a privately guided visit to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
Day 11 Naples
This morning you will be dropped off at Rome's train station for your premium class train journey to Naples, which will take just over an hour. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel to settle in. In the afternoon, a private guide will meet you to begin an orientation tour of the city that will focus on the excellent local street food found around the city.
Day 12 Sorrento

After a morning of relaxing and exploring Sorrento, you'll spend the afternoon enjoying a catch your own dinner fishing experience. Heading out with a local fisherman on his boat, you'll spend some time fishing from the boat before returning to his restaurant where his chef will prepare your catch for dinner as you relax and enjoy the sunset.
Day 14 Sorrento

Today you will enjoy a cooking class with local chef Laura, in her family home. She will help you prepare a traditional southern Italian meal from scratch, explaining the different ingredients and techniques typical to the area. At the end of the class enjoy the delicious meal you've prepared for lunch.
Day 15 The Amalfi Coast
Departing for the Amalfi Coast today with your private driver you'll witness some stunning scenery. After checking in you'll head straight to a nearby limoncello distillery. A local guide will take you up into the hills, in a vintage jeep, to see the lemon groves before heading back down to the distillery. At the end of the tour there is a tasting session and lunch. The afternoon will be free to spend relaxing at your hotel.
