Rosas & Xocolate Boutique Hotel, Merida & Around, Mexico
Rosas & Xocolate is the result of an integral project that rescued two exquisite town mansions that were uninhabited for thirty years. Now it is a beautifully designed and decorated 17 bedroom hotel next to the Santa Lucia park, about 5 blocks from Merida's central plaza.
It is a funky and trendy luxurious hotel unique in its bright pink and dark brown theme. There are 14 rooms overlooking the swimming pool, terraces and water garden, and 3 suites located in the main house with windows overlooking the Paseo de Montejo. Each room has king or queen beds, air-con, flat screen T.V, ipod dock, high speed internet access with lovely touches, like handmade soap.
The hotel has a fabulous restaurant, tequila library bar, an outdoor garden terrace and the trendy Moon Lounge on the roof which has jazz playing Thurs-Sat nights. There is an on-site gym, a small swimming pool, a great spa with a roof top jacuzzi and treatments using chocolate. To top it all there is a delicious hand-made chocolate shop on site!
