Stay at Haus Sonnoneck, Windhoek
Haus Sonneneck is one of the quietest hotels in Windhoek. It has a relaxed unpretentious atmosphere. It is fairly simple, but a good option for a night or two's stay.
Haus Sonnoneck, Windhoek, Namibia
Haus Sonneneck is a converted family home in the Eros suburb of Windhoek. It is a ten minute drive from Independence Avenue so well placed for exploring but far enough away to be very peaceful.
There are six modern rooms built in the gardens which are beautifully tended. There are wild fig trees, pepper trees, eucalyptus and colourful flower beds and rockeries amongst which the small dachshund Jules likes to hunt for lizards. The rooms are modern and spacious with double or twin beds, tiled floors, TV, air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom. There is one family room with three beds. Each room has a small private patio with table and chairs. In the centre of the garden there's a pool, barbeque area and small dining room where breakfast is served.
Your hosts, Rudolf and Gisela are very warm and welcoming and can help you arrange drivers to take you into town and nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner.
