H10 Duque de Loulé
The H10 Duque de Loulé is a stylish property located within an expertly converted 18th-century building. Outside, the original façade has been preserved, lending the property a sense of august elegance. Inside, the chic modern decor draws on traditional elements like hand-painted blue and white azulejo tiles and blends them with more modern design concepts to create a light and airy space offset by large windows.
Opened in March 2015, the hotel is a boutique option to its core. Each of the 89 rooms boasts crisp white linens, hardwood floors and elegant white and blue design elements. The large windows let in plenty of light and in many rooms have been converted into little reading alcoves. The modern bathrooms are well-equipped and finished to a high standard.
The highlight of the hotel, however, is the stunning rooftop terrace bar where you can enjoy panoramic views across the rooftops of Lisbon to the River Tagus. Open for drinks and cocktails, it’s the perfect spot to soak up the atmosphere.
Located near the top of the Avenida da Liberdade and Praça Marquês de Pombal, the hotel is around a 25-minute walk from the central Baixa area.

The white and blue theme prevalent throughout the hotel extends to the room where crisp white linens contrast with deep blue velvets and hardwood floors. Large windows let in plenty of light and in many rooms also feature a small reading alcove. Air conditioning, TV and free Wi-Fi come as standard, while the modern bathrooms are well equipped and finished to a high standard.
Located just off the Praça Marquês de Pombal and the northern end of the Avenida da Liberdade, the H10 Duque de Loulé is well-located for accessing Lisbon’s prime designer shopping district. The historical Baixa district can be reached on foot in around 25 minutes or alternatively there is easy metro access right outside.
Food and Drink
The Azul e Branco restaurant offers a delicious selection of Iberian-influenced à la carte dishes each evening, while during the day a light menu of snacks is available. In the mornings, a buffet breakfast is served with optional à la carte items included. On the top floor you’ll find the Chill-Out Limão Terrace bar with indoor and outdoor seating and sweeping views across the rooftops of Lisbon to the River Tagus.
While not the most centrally located hotel, we find the H10 Duque de Loulé to be a great value option with stylish decor and exceptional views.
