Feynan Ecolodge is wonderfully remote, and set amidst stark rocky desert, so your sense of getting away from the world is remarkable. It has also been superbly designed — cool shady areas offer inviting spots to absorb the silence and solitude. The rooms are spacious and comfortable.

It's also very eco friendly; all materials used are traditional local materials, and the adobe walls add to the atmosphere. All power is solar generated, and in the evenings, everything is candlelit. At night, we suggest you retire to the rooftop, where they hold stargazing sessions with their telescope — it is possible to see many stars and planets on a clear night.

Although it's not the easiest place to get to (part of its attraction!), being a five-hour hike from Dana Village, or an 8 km off-road jeep drive from the Dead Sea on Aqaba Highway, it is absolutely worth the effort for one of the most unique and special hotels in the whole Middle East region.
