This luxurious 209-room hotel sits a block back from the Santa Monica oceanfront. Each of the spacious rooms is beautifully designed and features contemporary decor and modern amenities including cable television, DVD and CD player, air conditioning, in-room safe and internet access. Upper floor rooms also offer partial ocean views.
The hotel offers two dining options: The Penthouse Restaurant, offering 360 degree views of the city and ocean, as well as the Lobby Level Café, serving up a range of pastries and coffees.
OUR OPINION:
One of the best located properties in Santa Monica, just a short stroll away from the busy promenade and shopping district, this property is a secluded stay to escape the crowds. Decent sized rooms feature a clean and minimalist style, and, although there are no direct ocean view rooms, mid-to-higher floor rooms allow for a partial ocean view. The Penthouse Restaurant is popular for weekend brunches and dinners, therefore it is advisable to book in advance to secure a table.

Rooms
All of the rooms are elegantly decorated in a neutral palette of silver and grey, with fluffy throws and the occasional contemporary chandelier. Rooms are air conditioned and feature Wi-Fi, LCD TV, minibar, coffee maker and bathrobes. Some rooms have partial ocean views and the Huntley king rooms work well for families with an extra sofa bed.
Location
Located just a short distance from oceanfront Palisades Park, The Huntley is only a short walk from some of Santa Monica's most famous attractions including the pier, the shopping district of Third Street Promenade and the Farmer's Market. There's a variety of bars and restaurants just a short distance away.
Food and drink
The Penthouse Restaurant is a bright, lively environment with panoramic views stretching along the coast toward Malibu and over Santa Monica. There's a glass lift to the top which we find adds to the anticipation. Seasonal Californian cuisine is available in the fine dining restaurant, or order smaller sharing plates at the bar and take a cabana to enjoy the views. The restaurant is also open for breakfast and is popular with locals for weekend brunch.
