Mekong Lodge is definitely the most comfortable option available in Cai Be with a lovely waterfront setting and a great base for exploring the local area.
Ut Trinh Homestay
Ut Trinh Homestay, Mekong Delta, Vietnam
You will stay in a local house with typical Mekong architecture located directly on a river bank, surrounded by gardens, bonsai trees and a variety of tropical fruit orchards. Guests staying here have a unique opportunity to experience life with a local family and find out more about their culture. In addition you will enjoy excellent home cooking served in the dining room or outside in the garden. This is without doubt an unforgettable experience with a local family.
There are five basic rooms with divan bed and mattress, fans, mosquito nets and bathrooms. The homestay conditions are basic, however they have western toilets and showers and are spotlessly clean.

Alternative places to stay nearby
Where possible, we like to offer a range of accommodation for each stop of your trip, chosen by our specialists as some of their favourite places to stay. To help you make the right choice, we give each property a rating based on its facilities and service, but we also look for hotels with distinct character or a location that can’t be bettered.
In our opinion, the Nam Bo is one of the best mid-range hotels in Can Tho. It has an ideal location, with easy access to river transport and local attractions.
In an area that has previously lacked charming accommodation, the Victoria hotel is refreshingly tastefully designed. The low-rise French architecture gives it a breezy colonial feel.
Although this unique hotel is not of the same standard as its popular sister property in Can Tho, it is still a wonderful hotel in a fantastic location.
Experiences while staying here
The following activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences of the area where you’re staying. We work with local guides, who use their knowledge and often a resident’s eye to show you the main sights and more out-of-the-way attractions. Our specialists can also suggest outdoor pursuits and activities, such as cooking classes, that will introduce you to the traditions of the area’s inhabitants.
Board the Victoria hotel’s 'junk' for a luxurious breakfast cruising down the Mekong to the Cai Rang floating market where a mass of boats converge to trade.
Riding mostly down narrow lanes along the river and away from the bustle of daily traffic, you experience real Vietnamese rural life, still unspoilt by modern day living - people working in the river, friendly waving children.
