Busanga Bush Camp
Busanga Bush Camp, Kafue National Park, Zambia
The wild Busanga Bush Camp is situated on a fig tree island in the Busanga Plains. The four tented rooms are relatively simple and very open, with gauze netting walls permitting fabulous views over the Plains. There is an en-suite open air bathroom with hot shower, basin and flush toilets. It's rather fun to have a shower either with the sun beating down on your back or under the stars! A short walk from the rooms the bar and dining area is under canvas. There's a big table for evening meals or you could choose to have dinner in the boma, warming yourself around a camp fire while watching the chef prepare your food.
The bush-camp team is very friendly and there's an informal atmosphere. It's a great little camp, really wild and absolutely superb. Activities from the bush camp focus on day and night drives on the Busanga Plains. The Busanga Plains have excellent prides of lions which are often seen in the branches of fig trees. There are clouds of open billed storks, wattled cranes step through the grass and sable and roan are also often seen.
