As well as game drives and walks with expert guides, take advantage of the wildlife in and along the Chobe River with a boat trip. Fishing trips are also popular.
Zambezi Queen, Chobe National Park, Botswana
The Zambezi Queen is a luxurious 45m river boat based on the magnificent Chobe River. The river bisects Botswana's Chobe National Park from Namibia's Caprivi Strip, and has in the process created one of the densest populations of wildlife on the African continent.
The first and second levels of the boat incorporate the 14 ensuite cabins - all of which have their own private balconies and have been tastefully furnished with either a double or two single beds. Each private space has been designed with the African summer in mind, and clever use of shutters situated on the outer edge of the deck as well as ceiling fans and air-conditioning which give added comfort in the hotter months. Uniquely, the entire boat including the top deck, living and dining area, has mosquito screening. The top deck consists of the dining room, the lounge including a wood burning fireplace, a bar and a sunbathing area complete with private pool.

Experiences while staying here
The following activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences of the area where you’re staying. We work with local guides, who use their knowledge and often a resident’s eye to show you the main sights and more out-of-the-way attractions. Our specialists can also suggest outdoor pursuits and activities, such as cooking classes, that will introduce you to the traditions of the area’s inhabitants.
Explore this wildlife haven both on guided game drives, by boat and even on foot - although this activity is dependent on the availability of guides and the length of the grass. You can even visit the local Sibuya tribe.
