The resort has 43 luxurious rooms, perched on the edge of Cox Bay, between Pacific Rim National Park and Clayoquot Sound. The property was designed and built to resemble a grand west coast-style home. It features cedar boards and battens, a shingle exterior, metal roof and a stone chimney, and the warm and welcoming interior is full of natural hues and fabrics.
You will begin to relax as soon as you enter the Great Room, with its massive granite fireplace and Douglas Fir post and beam construction. It’s a gathering place where you can sink into an overstuffed chair, put your feet up, and gaze out at the sandy beach with the crashing surf and lighthouse beyond.
Adjacent is the dining room, a relaxed, informal space, where the emphasis is placed on fresh food, efficient service, and meticulous attention to detail. The menu features gourmet cuisine, handcrafted using local seafood and farm-fresh Vancouver Island meats, cheeses, and organic produce.
The property also features its own surf club, where guests can book surf lessons in the summer and rent or buy equipment.
