Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Vancouver. Having arrived in Vancouver, make your way to your downtown hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax after your flight or to start exploring this beautiful city.

Spend a day at leisure in Vancouver. There's plenty to see in this cosmopolitan city. You may wish to cycle around Stanley Park, which has a collection of replica totem poles, an aquarium and views over English Bay and Vancouver Harbour. Alternatively, soak up the atmosphere in Chinatown with its quirky shops and markets, or take a guided walk around historic Gastown to learn more about the city's past. You can also head to Grouse Mountain for a spot of winter ziplining or ice skating. This afternoon you’ll experience Fly Over Canada, an interactive and thrilling experience where an IMAX screen enables you to travel around the country in virtual reality.

This morning, travel by coach to Whistler, a winter activities resort par excellence. The rest of the day can be spent exploring the pedestrian villages, cafes and boutiques, or you may wish to participate in some of the many outdoor activities on offer.

Spend an exciting day in the great outdoors, beginning with a snowshoe excursion that will lead you through a forest deep in the Callaghan Valley. Your guide will teach you about the medicinal plants that grow along the trail and you can sample a selection of healing teas that are made using these plants. This evening, you’ll join a snowmobile tour that travels up winding trails on Whistler Blackcomb Mountain, ending up at a fondue cabin where a delicious dinner will be served.

This morning, enjoy a panoramic bird’s eye view of Blackcomb Mountain on a helicopter flight, spotting the magnificent Cheakamus Glacier and soaring over Garibaldi Provincial Park. This afternoon, race along snowy trials in the Callaghan Valley backcountry with your own team of huskies on a dog-sledding experience. You’ll stop at an abandoned trappers camp on Totem Lake and learn about the history of Canadian fur trappers and how they used dog-sledding as one of their vital modes of transport.

A coach transfer this morning will take you back to Vancouver Airport, where you’ll board your flight north to Whitehorse. Upon arrival you’ll be transferred to Northern Lights Lodge, a delightfully comfortable and rustic wooden lodge an hour or so away from Whitehorse. The rest of the day can be spent exploring the vast surrounding Yukon landscape, relaxing in your log cabin, or enjoying a massage in the main lodge. Tonight, after dinner, keep watch for the northern lights.

Enjoy your first full day at Northern Lights Resort & Spa. After breakfast, you may wish to join a guided dog-sledding and snowshoeing trips into the surrounding wilderness. In the afternoon you can unwind in the main lodge, relaxing in the sauna or having a massage. After dinner at the family-style table, you can retire to your lodge and await the northern lights.

Spend the day experiencing any of the winter activities you have not yet tried, or simply set out for a walk with your camera, taking in the magnificent views of the Yukon River Valley and McClintock Mountains. After dinner you can relax by the fire in the main lodge or in your cabin, waiting to see if the northern lights will make an appearance on your final night.
