Enjoy a taste of Québec’s 'Flavour Trail' on this laid back wine and spirits tasting, produced using local honey.
The Charlevoix region on Québec Province, along the shores of the St Lawrence River, is known for its gastronomy from the plentiful farms in the area. It’s earned itself the name of ‘The Flavour Trail.’ This unique winery in the heart of Baie St Paul welcomes you for a tasting to learn about winemaking, the distillation process, and the secrets of the bees that make the honey used in their products.
The winery and distillery own beehives located across the Charlevoix region and uses the honey produced to create a variety of spirits, wines and food products. Thanks to the different locations of the beehives, the honeys are unique to their location and add different subtle tastes to the products, including various fruits or flowers. While you might think the wines would be overly sweet from the honey, efforts are made to ensure this isn’t the case.
On this tasting, you have the opportunity to sit back and relax in the modern, spacious shop, or on the outdoor patio in the sun while you're served four different wines and three spirits all created on site. You'll receive a brief explanation of each glass before being left to pick your favourite. The tasting typically takes between 30 and 45 minutes and you'll have the opportunity to purchase the products from the boutique.
