Explore the snow and ice-covered lakes and landscapes of Lake Louise and Marble Canyon.
Head out into the winter wonderland of Banff National Park and Kootenay National Park to see one of the deepest and narrowest canyons in the Canadian Rockies, and enjoy free time for activities at Lake Louise. If you’re lucky you may see some of the ice bubbles formed under the lake.
On this half-day tour, you’ll be picked up from your hotel in Banff before heading to Kootenay National Park for an easy walk along the edge of Marble Canyon, using the gentle walkways and handrails. Keep a look out for ice climbers in the canyon below as you walk across the footbridges.
The next stop is Lake Louise in Banff National Park, where you’ll have a few hours of free time to walk along the frozen lakeshore with your guide using traditional wooden snowshoes, rent ice skates and take to the lake, or enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow on the lakeside trail.
If you prefer to sit back and take in the view of the Victoria Glacier, you can head into the Chateau Lake Louise for lunch, a champagne afternoon tea, or a drink at the outdoor ice bar. Your guide will meet you in front of the hotel at the end of the day to drive you back to Banff.
