Hotel Pulitzer
With 12 floors and over 100 rooms and suites, the Pulitzer is quite a large offering for Buenos Aires. However, its décor and friendly service create the air of a boutique hotel, striking a good balance between character and practicalities. The bold white and black exterior of the hotel is reflected inside with monochrome geometric designs, and this combined with the polished wooden floors and leather seating in the lobby give the hotel a slick, urban feel with a hint of retro styling. Accommodation is smart whilst still being homely, offering plenty of natural light and a host of modern amenities.

Rooms
This hotel offers three room categories; Standard, Superior and Suite. Standard rooms feature a queen size bed or twin single beds. Décor is bold and bright, and the en suite bathrooms are relatively spacious for a city centre hotel, with combined bath and shower and a striking black & white design. Superior rooms offer the same bed configurations but feature more space in the bedroom and bathroom, while Suites offer more space still, with a separate living area designed to create a light and airy space in which to relax. All rooms have a TV, minibar and complimentary Wi-Fi connection, as well as standard amenities such as an in-room safe and heating/air conditioning.
Location
Although the downtown area of Buenos Aires is perhaps not as famous as the upmarket neighbourhoods of Recoleta or Palermo, it's a very convenient place to stay, with good links to the rest of the city. The Pulitzer is located two blocks from Plaza San Martin, a leafy central square surrounded by a number of monuments, public buildings and museums.
Food and Drink
The hotel’s breakfast is served buffet-style in the light and airy breakfast room. Guests can choose from hot dishes or more simple continental options, such as cereal and fruit. Although the hotel doesn’t serve dinner, it does have a stylish bar-restaurant (open to the public) on the ground floor that serves drinks, bar snacks and light meals. In summer (mid Oct - mid April) guests can choose to have lunch or drinks in the Sky Bar, which boasts great views of downtown Buenos Aires.
Facilities and Activities
The swimming pool, while on the small side, is a pleasant place to relax during the summer months of December to March, surrounded by teak sunloungers. Enjoy sweeping city views from the hotel’s Sky Bar and stay active in the small but well-equipped gym. Laundry, baby sitting and massage services are also offered.
Our opinion
The Pulitzer is a quirky, modern hotel in a good downtown location. We really love the attentive staff and the relatively affordable base it provides for exploring the city.

Alternative places to stay nearby
Where possible, we like to offer a range of accommodation for each stop of your trip, chosen by our specialists as some of their favourite places to stay. To help you make the right choice, we give each property a rating based on its facilities and service, but we also look for hotels with distinct character or a location that can’t be bettered.

Alvear Palace
This hotel, generally regarded as the grandest in Buenos Aires, is located in the heart of Recoleta, the most refined quarter in Buenos Aires.

Estancia El Ombu
The historical Estancia El Ombu de Areco is a wonderful place to relax, with comfortable rooms and delicious food.

Estancia La Bamba
One of La Bamba's principal advantages is its setting. Only 123km out of Buenos Aires, this estancia is nevertheless in the midst of rolling Pampas countryside.

Faena Hotel
Faena Hotel provides one of the capital’s most innovative and sophisticated accommodation options.

Hotel Madero
A stylish option in our Buenos Aires hotel portfolio and well located for the restaurants of Puerto Madero and to get into San Telmo.

Hotel Nuss
Nuss Hotel was once a Spanish convent and now has 22 rooms decorated in a tasteful blend of the traditional and the modern, centred around the old cloister.

Hub Porteno
One of Recoleta's boutique hotels, Hub Porteno offers 11 large and modern suites. An understated street entrance leads to an elegant restaurant (open to the public), and the hotel's beautiful living room.

Krista Hotel
This small hotel in Palermo is one of a few historical houses used as a hotel. Built in the early 20th century, the building was once home to the Perons' personal doctor.

Legado Mitico Buenos Aires
This is Buenos Aires boutique at its best; a small hotel decorated with a minimum of fuss and unmistakably Argentinian.

Palacio Duhau
Owned by the Park Hyatt group, the Palacio Duhau offers luxurious, comfortable accommodation and excellent fine dining in the heart of Buenos Aires.
Experiences while staying here
The following activities are designed to give you the most authentic experiences of the area where you’re staying. We work with local guides, who use their knowledge and often a resident’s eye to show you the main sights and more out-of-the-way attractions. Our specialists can also suggest outdoor pursuits and activities, such as cooking classes, that will introduce you to the traditions of the area’s inhabitants.

El Querandi Tango Show
You can experience Argentina’s home-grown dance, the tango, in an entertaining yet authentic way at this dinner show. The production tells the story of tango, from its humble roots to its worldwide fame, and includes many dexterous, gravity-defying routines.

Parrilla Tour, Palermo
Most visitors to Buenos Aires only dine at the most touristy parrillas published in guidebooks and sadly miss out on some of the city’s most delicious gems.
