Set on six acres of lush green land, Desert Himalaya is surrounded by majestic mountain peaks offering excellent views of the valley — particularly at sunrise and sunset. Consisting of 25 deluxe tents, each tent offers a comfortable place to stay in the wilderness and contains simple, but well-designed facilities including a good shower.
The resort makes an effort to make guests feel welcome, with a telescope on hand should you wish to star gaze at night (please book in advance) and materials can be provided should anyone feel inspired to paint the magnificent surroundings. Should you feel adventurous, you are welcome to take many of the short walks nearby, or you can even go for a dip in some of the nearby rivers (made safe, and refreshing rather than cold).
The resort is also close to the nearby monastery. Please note that although it is only a short distance away, it is up a steep hill, and is quite a challenge. You can be driven to it if you wish.
