The highlight of the classically elegant rooms is the unparalleled views they offer, each one different. Some overlook Kenmare Bay, while others have extensive views of the falls, but all are equally impressive. Inside the rooms, a calm, neutral palette with touches of purple and red complements the inviting but contemporary decor, while comfy mattresses will welcome you at the end of a long day. All rooms have a TV and DVD player as well as complimentary Wi-Fi. Most of the rooms have a bath with a shower, some rooms just have a walk-in shower.
Sheen Falls Lodge lies just across the water from central Kenmare, giving the hotel a peaceful location while still remaining within easy reach of the town by car. The hotel sits on the banks of the River Sheen close to Kenmare Bay, where seals can often be seen, and is less than ten minutes' drive from the beginning of the scenic Ring of Kerry drive.
Food and drink
The hotel prides itself on its exquisite dining options, from the elegant Falls Restaurant to the more intimate Sun Lounge. The Falls Restaurant serves guests innovative cuisine with a unique twist on traditional Irish fare. Diners can also select from an impressive wine collection. In the Sun Lounge a hearty breakfast is served each morning, while later in the day it makes an ideal spot for afternoon tea.
The hotel arranges daily activities for children such as educational nature walks or treasure hunts. There are three guest rooms which have bunk beds.
Facilities and activities
The Easanna Spa at Sheen Falls Lodge provides a range of facilities and treatments to pamper guests and help them relax. The chic yet peaceful space offers a heated indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, in addition to holistic massage, facial and beauty treatments.
We love this truly relaxing property for its gorgeous views and local artwork adorning the walls.
