Borgo Dei Conti Resort
Spread over a former castle, tower and private villa dating back to the 14th century, the Borgo dei Conti feels a world apart from the heart of Perugia, which is around a 30-minute drive away. Overlooking the Umbrian countryside, the former village has been transferred into a 50 room luxury property. The extensive grounds and gardens that are part of the property are home to a walking and running track, tennis court and ancient olive trees. There’s also an outdoor swimming pool that is open during summer months and a small covered indoor pool that’s open during colder months.
Inside the villa the common areas are furnished in a contemporary yet elegant style, with period furniture pieces giving a nod to the hote’ls history. The main hotel restaurant, Limonaia, is decorated in contemporary style and serves up Umbrian flair with a modern twist. There is a small gym and spa also located in the main building.
