Frans Indongo Lodge is situated amidst thorn bush savannah, within a 17,000 hectare reserve, 43 km from Otjiwarongo. The lodge is decorated in traditional Owambo style and is set in lush gardens.
The six chalets and six double rooms all have air-conditioning, televisions, telephones and en-suite bathrooms. There is a restaurant and breakfast room as well as an open lapa and a wooden deck overlooking a waterhole frequented by white blesbok, springbok, zebra, black wildebeest, impala and many other game species.
Activities offered at Frans Indongo Lodge include bird watching and game drives on the farm. It is also possible to arrange half day visits to the Cheetah Conservation Foundation, the Otjiwarongo Crocodile Farm, the Rare and Endangered Species Trust to observe the Cape Griffon vulture or enjoy a walking trail. The lodge is an ideal place to spend a night or two between Windhoek and the north.
