Shangri-La Al Waha
Shangri-La Al Waha, Muscat, Oman
A 40 to 50 minute drive from the airport and a shorter drive to the old city of Muscat, the Shangri La Al Jissah resort, the latest addition to the capital, offers the best of Omani hospitality and ultimate Arabian luxury. Comprising of three deluxe hotels, over 20 food outlets and an exhaustive range of 21st century leisure facilities, the resort is a complete experience in itself. It is however the stunning location that is the immediate attraction of the Al Jissah. The dramatic backdrop of the deep red rocky interior mountains contrasts dramatically with the white sands and clear turquoise waters of the private bay, which is home to the resort.
Al Waha is the largest of the three hotels at the Al Jissah resort and is the ideal choice for families. Reflecting traditional Omani architecture, the hotel is constructed around the luscious palm filled pool and garden area. The hotel also has a children's pool and club with extra activities. Its soothing hues of creams and browns complement the contemporary, comfortable style of the rooms, with private patio or balcony and separate bath and shower. With an excellent choice of food outlets including South American all day dining, there is also easy access to all other resort facilities.
