Itinerary idea in detail

Includes international flights from a choice of UK airports, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Cuzco.

  • On arrival in Cuzco you will be transferred to your hotel via private transfer. After getting settled into your hotel we recommend spending the afternoon and evening relaxing and acclimatising.

  • Today you will explore Cuzco's colonial sites as well as nearby ruins on a guided tour.

  • You have a full day at leisure to continue exploring Cuzco. There are many museums to visit and cafés to enjoy that overlook the plaza — great for people watching.

  • Today travel by road out of Cuzco and into the picturesque Sacred Valley, enjoying a guided tour of the key sights such as the Písac Market and ruins and fortress town of Ollantaytambo. You will then take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes at the foot of Machu Picchu.

  • An early start this morning to visit the citadel of Machu Picchu with your private guide. You will have a three-hour guided visit and some time to explore on your own before returning to Cuzco.

  • The morning is free and then you have a private transfer to the airport to take the direct flight to Bogotá. Arriving into the capital of Colombia your private car is waiting to take you to the hotel.

  • Bogotá is full of surprises. Your private tour visits the historic colonial district, Monserrate which overlooks the city, and the world-famous Gold Museum.

  • Today you will fly to the city of Cartagena on the Caribbean coast. You will be collected and taken to your hotel inside the walled city.

  • A walking tour along the cobblestone streets of the walled city with your private guide will help you get your bearings and better understand the rich history.

  • La Popa and San Felipe are some of the most famous sites in the city and no visit to Cartagena would be complete without this. Your private guide will bring the history to life.

  • Full day at leisure for further exploration of the city and possibly the nearby beaches.

  • After a free morning you will begin the journey home.

  • Arrive home today to complete your journey.
