The hotel’s focus of wellness extends further than a regular detox, with attention paid to each guest’s personal needs and there are plenty of activities on offer for all.
Yoga classes take place twice a day, bicycles are available to explore the surrounding terrain, tea estate walks can be arranged, local guides can accompany you on a trek in the nearby Knuckles Range or you could wander down to the Hulu River (on the property's estate) for a dip or river-side picnic.
The spa is built into the hillside, and offers a varied programme, including Ayurvedic options.

The lovely staff at Santani consider every detail to ensure guests leave feeling completely refreshed and reset both physically and mentally. The environment itself feels a million miles away from the rest of the world so gives an opportunity for pure escapism.

Rooms are simple but comfortable, with natural materials. All rooms enjoy either mountain or garden views and are free of televisions to encourage a digital detox, but Wi-Fi can be provided on request. Please be aware that the rooms are fan cooled rather than air conditioned, but temperatures are rarely high in this area.
Location
High in the hills and approximately two hours from Kandy, Santani enjoys surrounding nature and quiet, where you can enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the misty jungle.
Food and drink
The food and fine-dining experience at Santani is a highlight. The experienced chef will create personalised menus to suit each guest and most of the ingredients used come from the surrounding gardens or local sources. As this is a wellness hotel, the only alcohol which they serve is wine.
