A range of water sports facilities as well as boat trips, mountain bikes, a dive centre and lessons in Thai cookery or Thai boxing ensure that there is plenty to do but most guests come here simply to relax.
The 57 spacious pavilions, suites and villas are set in tropical gardens or along the beachfront. Many offer excellent sea views while some enjoy direct access to one of the hotel’s 2 pools or an outdoor Jacuzzi.

A busy, modern city, Singapore mixes Indian and Chinese heritage, colonial history and striking modern architecture. The metro system makes it easy to get around the city whether you’re exploring the fantastical Gardens by the Bay, the winding streets of Little India or colonial buildings along the waterfront.
Food is one of the highlights of a visit to Singapore, with the cultural mix of the city delivering everything from delicious street food stalls serving Indian or Chinese dishes to fine dining in Michelin starred restaurants. Similarly shopping in Singapore ranges from sari shops in Little India and traditional medicine in Chinatown to large malls and designer fashion.
The elegant and luxurious Fullerton Hotel sits in a colonial building dating back to 1928 with a rich heritage and beautiful architecture. The hotel has a good location close to Clarke Quay and the 400 rooms have views over the atrium courtyard or over the city skyline, the river or the sea.

Guests have the choice of a cool interior venue, or an alfresco beachside setting on the deck in front of the restaurant.
The restaurant is quite formal with a dress code in the evening of ‘resort casual’: for gentlemen, this means sport slacks, khakis, jeans (no cut-offs), dress shorts (long), and a collared polo or sport shirt. Ladies can wear casual dresses, casual skirts or trousers and blouses, Capri pants, dress shorts, or jeans (no cut-offs). Gym shorts, beach flip-flops, bathing suit attire, cut-off jeans and sleeveless shirts for men are not permitted.
The Sundowners Bar, facing the beach, is an ideal location for refreshing fruit shakes, cool drinks and evening cocktails.
Layana's 'Linger Longer Spa' is secluded and peaceful, set within its own walled garden.
There are five treatment rooms and the menu fuses influences from east and west to promote physical, mental and emotional well-being. All therapists are fully trained and the products used are top quality. The spa also offers a sauna, outdoor Jacuzzi and salt treatment room.
During the 14th century, Singapore flourished as a trading post with Chinese junks, Indian vessels, Arab dhows and Portuguese battleships frequenting its shores. Today Singapore is a predominantly Chinese society, with Malays, Indians and Europeans adding to the ethnic mix and the scene is one of shimmering skyscrapers and busy streets.
The influx of different cultures has made Singapore the culinary capital of Asia, with an incredible array of dishes and styles on offer. Sample the variety as you explore Chinatown and Little India, eating at hawker stalls or fine restaurants. After dark, take a dinner cruise, visit the theatre or stroll down to Robertson, Boat or Clarke Quay with its riverside restaurants, bars and clubs. New developments around the Marina Bay area are opening constantly and this has created a real buzz about Singapore.
